Salman, 48, posted on Twitter about the step he has taken in coordination with his social welfare organisation Being

Human.

"Appna (Our) Facebook is not just for time pass, use it to find work. http://beinghumanworkshop.com #Beinghumanjobs," Salman tweeted.

"Everyone on my facebook page who doesn’t have a job, I've spoken to my friends to hire and employ them, obviously you need to fulfill the requirement," he added.

Salman is all geared up for his upcoming Eid release 'Kick', which is directed and produced by Sajid Nadiawala. Other than salman the movie also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.

The trailer of the film has received an impeccable response, with 10 million hits in just 9 days, kick has created the needed buzz amidst the audiences.

New organic battery is cheap, clean and rechargeable

The new battery, which uses no metals or toxic materials, is intended for use in power plants where it can make the energy grid more resilient and efficient by creating large-scale means to store energy for use as needed.

    

"The batteries last for about 5,000 recharge cycles, giving them an estimated 15-year lifespan," said Sri Narayan, professor of chemistry at the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, and corresponding author of the study.

"Lithium ion batteries degrade after around 1,000 cycles, and cost 10 times more to manufacture," Narayan said.

Narayan collaborated with Surya Prakash, professor of chemistry and director of the USC Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute, as well as USC's Bo Yang, Lena Hoober-Burkhardt and Fang Wang.

    

"Such organic flow batteries will be game-changers for grid electrical energy storage in terms of simplicity, cost, reliability and sustainability," said Prakash.

Solar panels can only generate power when the sun is shining, and wind turbines can only generate power when the wind blows. That inherent unreliability makes it difficult for power companies to rely on them to meet the demand of customers...

PM reviews progress of monsoon

Modi, who chaired a high-level meeting here on Thursday to review the progress of the monsoon so far, emphasized on ensuring adequate power and seed availability for the agricultural sector, and directed that NREGA be used to generate rural employment, if necessary. 

Officials of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) apprised Modi of the monsoon situation.

“Though the monsoon has been delayed, rainfall is likely to improve substantially in the months of July and August,” the IMD officials said.

In 21-yr-old, Mumbai police recruitment test's 5-km run finds its sixth victim

His brother found him unconscious and took him to a civic hospital, where was declared dead on arrival. Ahmednagar native Vijay Trimbake’s brother returned home on Tuesday evening to find him lying unconscious in the house. “He had completed the first recruitment round on June 13 and another one on June 17. He told us he had completed the 5-km run (in the second round) in 19 minutes.

Barely two weeks after the fifth aspirant died in a private hospital in Vikhroli after trying to complete the 5-km run, which is a part of the ongoing Mumbai Police constable recruitment tests, a 21-year-old hopeful, who had managed to complete the gruelling run, collapsed in his Powai residence.

However, since then, he had been experiencing constant giddiness, nausea and fatigue,” said Arun Trimbake, the deceased’s brother. Aspirants are made to go through several rigorous physical tests before they are shortlisted. Despite this, his relatives say he refused to visit a doctor, thinking the symptoms would eventually subside. Unfortunately, the young aspirant, who was probably close to getting a constable’s cap, suddenly collapsed in the Powai chawl where he was living with one of his brothers.

Vijay worked at a toll naka nearby and had participated in the police constable recruitment rounds in hope of a stable future. “On Tuesday afternoon, he wasn’t answering my calls. So, we went to his house and found him unconscious. We immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital, which advised us to shift him to Rajawadi Hospital, Ghatkopar, as his condition was serious. He was declared dead on arrival there,” ...

Mumbai Crime: CMO rapes doctor for a year, held

A 38-year-old former chief medical officer (CMO) from the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) hospital was arrested by the Waliv police on Tuesday for raping and blackmailing a doctor for nearly a year. According to the police, CMO Dr Sunil Wadkar met the survivor in 2013, after she was recruited as a doctor in the same government hospital. 

“When the woman was selected for the doctor’s post, CMO Dr Sunil Wadkar was assigned to train her. During the course of this training, Wadkar took her out for dinner once to a restaurant on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, where he had secretly booked a room. 

“He convinced the trainee doctor that it would be best to dine comfortably in the room, since people were consuming alcohol at the restaurant,” an official from Waliv police station said. Having successfully lured her to the room, Wadkar forced himself on her, recorded the act on his cellphone and also clicked photographs. 

He threatened to make the video and the photos public if the doctor refused to continue sleeping with him. He continued to blackmail her like this for nearly a year. Refusing to take the blackmail anymore, the survivor finally filed a complaint with the Waliv police on Sunday...
