Want to Start Building India from Amethi, says Narendra Modi on Rahul Gandhi's turf
On the turf of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate has declared that his party will form the government and that the process of "building the country will start from Amethi".

Mr Modi is addressing a rally in Mr Gandhi's constituency in Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP has fielded Smriti Irani, a popular actor, against the Congress leader. He shared his "gameplan" in sending Ms Irani, who he called his "younger sister", to Amethi.

"I did not send her to trouble Rahul Bhaiyya, he is troubled enough already. I sent her to address the troubles of the people of Amethi," he told a capacity crowd, that roared with every punchline that the BJP leader delivered.

Narendra Modi wore all white. Next to him on stage, Smriti Irani was in saffron. Much to the delight of his audience, Mr Modi referenced a character she has played on TV. He declared that "all political pundits will be proved wrong,' predicting a win for his candidate in Amethi, considered a Gandhi bastion and one of the safest seats for the Congress. ..
