Yuvraj Singh stars in BCCI corporate tournament after record bid in IPL 2014 auction

Yuvraj Singh, who is riding high on being purchased by Indian Premier League (IPL) side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a whopping price money of Rs 14 crore, welcomed the offer by scoring a thrilling 105 from 74 balls in the opening match of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Corporate tournament for the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy against State Bank of Mysore.


The southpaw hit 12 fours and five sixes for Air India. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wicketkeeper and IPL 2012 final match-winner Manvinder Bisla smashes 58, while Sushant Marathe and Naman Ojha scored 44 and 60 respectively for Air India. The team set up a target of 328.


On the other hand Pankaj Singh, who has been impressive recently, finished with 3 for 12, after starting his first spell with figures of 7-5-4-2, according to MiD-DAY.


The classy left-handed batsman scored a dazzling 105 from 74 balls which included 12 fours and five sixes for Air India in the opening match of the BCCI Corporate Tournament for the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy against State Bank of Mysore.


State Bank of Mysore found their sole fighter in the form of Anirudh Joshi, who scored 72 from 85 balls.


Howevre, that wasn’t enough for the bankmen. Mysore finished up with 225 for eight.


On the other hand, India Cements registered their first victory with 1 91-run win over Food Corportation of India (FCI). India Cements scored 240 at the loss of 9 wickets. FCI were bowled out for a 149 runs in 35.4 overs. The match was reduced to 45 overs due to wet outfield.
