Singh, who is visiting the state in connection with an official function, was shown black flags by JMM activists when he was passing the route from Birsa Munda Airport.
The protest was peaceful unlike on Monday when rival activists clashed after JMM workers showed black flags at the convoy of Union Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at Hinoo area here.
The ruling JMM observed ‘black day’ as part of its continued protest against hooting of BJP activists among others when Chief Minister Hemant Soren was speaking in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Ranchi rally in the Dhurwa area on August 21.
Singh will lay the foundation stone of a project in Ramgarh the following day.
